I know what you’re thinking;
‘Counseling is for other people who are worse off than me, I wouldn’t know who to call, I wouldn’t know what to say, I am afraid he would find out…’
That’s what I thought. A friend gave me the number for the local Women’s Crisis Center; she had personal experience with them. she assured me they they were helpful and friendly, but did I call? No. I sat and looked a that number for weeks before I called them, too afraid to pick up the phone.
Don’t let fear hold you back. Pick up the phone and call. The person on the other end has information you will find helpful, they are there for you and they understand all too well what you are going through.
